Criminal Defence
A criminal charge is not a conviction. We defend people charged with offences across the Lower Mainland, from first appearance and bail through to trial.
We act on all kinds of criminal allegations, including impaired driving and Criminal Code driving offences, assault and domestic violence allegations, theft and fraud, drug offences, breaches of court orders, and weapons charges. We appear at bail hearings on short notice and work to secure release on realistic conditions.
Defence work is disclosure work. We obtain and review the Crown's file line by line, identify Charter breaches in the search, detention or delay, test the strength of the case, and advise you honestly on whether to resolve the matter or take it to trial, never the other way around.

Common questions
- I've been charged. What should I do first?
- Say nothing further to police and call a lawyer. You have the right to counsel, and what you say before you exercise it is usually the strongest evidence against you.
- Do you handle bail hearings on short notice?
- Yes. Call 604-813-7901 as early as possible. Bail is easier to secure at the first appearance than after a detention order.
- Will a charge stay on my record if it is dropped?
- A stay or acquittal is not a conviction, but police records of the incident can persist and may surface in vulnerable-sector checks. We can advise on your options for dealing with them.
