Privacy policy

Last updated October 4, 2026

Vero Law respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, in keeping with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What we collect

When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you provide it), the practice area and office you choose, and your message.

To protect the form from spam, our systems briefly record the IP address a message is sent from. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking.

How we use it

We use the information you send to respond to your inquiry, to check for conflicts of interest, and to arrange a consultation. We do not sell your information or use it for marketing.

Sending the form does not create a solicitor-client relationship, and what you send is not privileged until we confirm we are able to act for you. Please do not include confidential details until we have spoken.

Who handles it

We rely on service providers to run this website and deliver form messages to our inboxes: Cloudflare (website hosting), Resend (email delivery) and Upstash (spam protection). They may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

How long we keep it

IP addresses recorded for spam protection are deleted automatically within an hour. Inquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond to you and to meet our professional and legal obligations.

Your choices

You may ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask a question about this policy, by calling 604-813-7901.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
